1. Log into the network called “LCAD_Wireless” using the password “greatartmatters” to establish your initial network connection. You will be presented with a login window asking for your username and password.

2. Enter your LCAD username (your email address without the @lcad.edu) and your LCAD email password, then click “Log In” – a picture of the login window is provided below for reference:

unnamed

3. After you click “Log In” it will confirm your username/password with the server, confirm your identity, and pair your login with your device. In a few seconds your device should be “live” on the network.

Non-computer devices like Xbox/PS4/Switch consoles

Game consoles, FireTV/AppleTV, and similar devices do not support the secure portal authentication we use to secure our network, so there are extra steps required to provision access for these devices. Some devices, such as Amazon Echo, Apple HomePod, Google Home, printers, and some other home-use devices are not compatible with enterprise network security and will not be provisioned onto our network. To authenticate compatible devices, follow the instructions below:

1. Log into the network called “LCAD_Wireless” using the password “greatartmatters” to establish your initial network connection.

2. Once you have established that initial connection, your device has “touched” the server and is ready to be approved.

3. Send an email to support@lcad.edu with the subject “LCAD Devices” and a description of the device and we will reply back with the next steps you will need to follow.

Custom DNS servers

If you have custom DNS servers defined on your device your access to the internet may be interrupted. To restore functionality, reset your DNS settings to the default. If you are unsure how to do this either visit the helpdesk located at Big Bend or email support@lcad.edu for assistance.
