On Main Campus, upstairs from the reception desk. What are the hours of operation for the Career Services Office? Regular office hours are 9:00am – 5:00pm. Please make an appointment using the Career Services Appointment button on MyLCAD, or email careerservices@lcad.edu for additional information.

Career specific internship opportunities at businesses are a way to develop skills by practically applying the academic elements of your degree and as an opportunity to learn about the work environment. Internships are for second semester juniors and seniors with the approval of their Chair. Please refer to the Internship button on the Career Services menu for further information.

The Career Services office has many resources to help you in your job search. A favorite resource of students is the LCAD job board located on this site. Numerous part-time local and regional jobs are listed by private parties and businesses wanting to specifically hire LCAD students. Most are for art related projects. LCAD hosts a part-time job fair every September and a summer job fair every April. Additional Career Resources are available on MyLCAD, along with a list of employment sites for you to explore.

As an international student attending LCAD on an F1 Student Visa you cannot work off-campus or anywhere, other than for the school on-campus (if such a position exists) until you complete your program. This includes paid internships. All available on-campus jobs will be listed on my.lcad.edu.

 

For further information go to: Jobs Internships As you approach the completion of your program, approximately 90 days before you graduate, you can meet with Chris Brown to discuss applying for 1 year of Optional Practical Training (OPT) that, if approved by the U.S. government, would allow you to stay in the county for up to 1 year after you graduate to work in your field of study (and you could be paid for the work).
