What is an internship?
Career specific internship opportunities at businesses are a way to develop skills by practically applying the academic elements of your degree and as an opportunity to learn about the work environment. Internships are for second semester juniors and seniors with the approval of their Chair. Please refer to the Internship button on the Career Services menu for further information.
I’m a student seeking a part-time job while in school. Where do I start?
The Career Services office has many resources to help you in your job search. A favorite resource of students is the LCAD job board located on this site. Numerous part-time local and regional jobs are listed by private parties and businesses wanting to specifically hire LCAD students. Most are for art related projects. LCAD hosts a part-time job fair every September and a summer job fair every April. Additional Career Resources are available on MyLCAD, along with a list of employment sites for you to explore.
