    Laguna Art Museum is the museum of California art. It collects, cares for, and exhibits works of art that were created by California artists or represent the life and history of the state. Unlike any other museum in the state, it collects California art and only California art, and ranges across all periods and styles, nineteenth-century to present-day.
    The museum’s prep team builds and de-installs exhibitions. The museum typically changes exhibitions three times each year, with consecutive de-installation and installation of galleries across the building’s three levels. Applicants should understand best practices, procedures, and materials for handling and installing work.
    Opportunities are typically three times each year, in January/February, May/June, and September/October. Positions are seasonal and may have variable schedules, including periods of heavy workloads and overtime.

    Responsibilities :
    –    Restore and maintain existing On Stage and Backstage signage and graphics using all available photos, sketches, blueprints, and other documentation – to Disney standards

    –    Produce new project signs from WDI supplied sketches, blueprints, and specs

    Location Description
    The selected murals will replace existing murals at 295 Broadway. This is a centrally located site that is highly visible in downtown Laguna Beach. The murals will be viewed primarily by pedestrians, up close and from a distance of 30 yards. The four murals will be vertically mounted on the Verizon owned building. The murals will be on display for up to 5 years.

    Project Description
    The proposed designs should be imaginative, colorful and include the theme of postcards. The proposed design should convey a positive reference to Laguna Beach and may include a simple message, not to exceed 25% of the surface area. Imagery should draw from aspects unique to Laguna Beach’s past, present or future.

    Selected winners will be provided with a 7’ x 5’ exterior grade stretched canvas. All primers, paints and clear coats must be of exterior grade.

    Selection Process
    The nine members of the City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission will judge the entries. Judging of the winning design will be based on creativity and appropriateness for the location. The City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission reserves the right, as its interest may appear, to reject any and/or all applications or proposals, to reject any finalist, to waive informalities in applications or proposals, or to terminate the selection process for any project without prior notice.The Arts Commission reserves the right to make selections for this project from the Arts Directory if insufficient applications are received, or to terminate the project at any time. Application to any project advertised by the City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission constitutes agreement with all applicable rules and guidelines.

    The Foundation for Art and Healing’s UnLonely Project has launched Campus UnLonely StoryFest, an innovative program to invite students to “share their stories” and in so doing to enable ALL of us to be more aware of loneliness and better connected!

    The Campus UnLonely StoryFest is a contest where students can submit short videos (2 minutes or under) on the themes of “Difference, Disability, and Dignity,” with three winners receiving cash prizes. All students are invited to participate—they don’t need to be filmmakers to submit, and videos can be produced on any device (phone, iPad etc.).

    The Campus UnLonely StoryFest is an opportunity for students to tell stories that explore circumstances associated with feeling lonely, excluded or unheard. Films will be screened by a panel of judges, led by Mike Paseornak, longtime president for production of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group and currently heading his own production company. Deadline for submissions is February 15, 2020.

    Join the 700+ artists and writers from around the world who have enjoyed an artist residency of up to 8 weeks on MASS MoCA’s historic mill campus in the Berkshire Mountains. Run by Assets for Artists (the artist-development arm of MASS MoCA), residencies will be available from April 22 – October 6, 2020 for the Spring/Summer season.     PUERTO RICO FELLOWSHIP – For our third year, we are pleased to offer fully funded residencies to at least four artists who live and work in Puerto Rico. Selected artists receive additional travel and food stipends. This year we also offer an opportunity for an artist-parent from Puerto Rico to stay for a shorter 2-week residency. In addition to the shorter length of stay to reduce the time away from family, the awarded artist-parent will receive an additional stipend to use for child care or related expenses during their time away.

    The Lucasfilm Story Group oversees the development and management of story across live-action feature films, television animation, games, publishing, and interactive experiences. The group also administers story continuity inside the Star Wars universe across various media, and curates transmedia experiences for consumers year-round and to coincide with feature film, television, and interactive events.


    Lucasfilm is currently seeking motivated, detail-oriented, and trustworthy interns for its Story Group Internship Program. Responsibilities include scanning and evaluating transmedia material for continuity, imputing continuity data into relational databases, reading and evaluating incoming writing samples and manuscript submissions, and light office support – phones/desks – when needed.     The City of Tustin Public Arts Committee, in cooperation with the City of Tustin Parks and Recreation Department, seeks artists to submit proposals for an outdoor project located in Old Town Tustin, Tustin, California 92780. The purpose of this project is to beautify the city and enhance the life of its citizens. The current project(s) are17 concrete planters of various shapes and sizes intended to enhance the pedestrian walkway and storefronts of the Old Town Tustin area. The total cost per completed planter box shall not exceed $300, including artist’s materials. An artist may not complete more than five planters, unless consent is expressed in writing by the Public Arts Committee. The project will be funded by the City of Tustin Public Arts Committee. The Committee seeks to commission experienced and competent artist(s) to complete the work. However, new and aspiring artists are encouraged to submit proposals.

    Project Description:

    The Old Town Planter Public Art Project medium will be acrylic paint. The use of color and imagery, literal and abstract, which enhances and inspires Old Town Tustin as a destination experience, will be given preference. All proposals to be considered should reflect the local citrus/agricultural heritage of Tustin or the military history at the former Tustin Marine Corps Air Station. Proposals may also consider current Old Town Tustin scenes or images that reflect the history of Old Town Tustin, or Tustin iconic events. Images of parks located within the city of Tustin, and other creative themes and designs are also acceptable.

Artists exhibit their work outdoors on the grassy terrain of the historic Beverly Gardens Park along Santa Monica Boulevard between Rodeo and Rexford Drives. It is one of the largest and most respected outdoor shows on the west coast, attracting artists from all over the country, and some of L.A.’s finest. In addition to original art, this two-day art show offers an outdoor dining area and food trucks, wine and beer gardens, ambient music, and artist demonstrations.
