But\, because homosexuality was taboo or even illegal throughout much of human history\, very few queer artists expressed themselves openly\, but some found creative ways to express their homoeroticism. In this lecture\, you’ll discover how key artists\, from Botticelli and Michelangelo to Andy Warhol\, Francis Bacon and David Hockney\, used secret codes to encrypt gay imagery that appears in plain sight in their iconic works of art. This lecture also will reveal with stunning visuals how\, in spite of repression\, queer artists have revolutionized religious art\, survived scandals\, spearheaded art movements\, and transformed mainstream culture every step of the way. \n  \nIGNACIO DARNAUDE \nDirector/Producer \n  \nIgnacio Darnaude was born and grew up in Spain.
