Job Description

The Artivist Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation working to amplify the voices of artistic activists (Artivists) around the world. We are currently designing an online social platform where artists and activists will be able to share and sell work, connect with new movements, and find tools to create innovative ways to organize. Founded in March 2020, the Artivist Foundation is a small youth-led organization that is quickly expanding. We are seeking a diverse range of perspectives tto join our team. Our organization operates entirely remotely, so we welcome interns from anywhere in the world!*

Interns with the Artivist Foundation learn the ins and outs of building a nonprofit tech startup from the ground up. We are seeking interns for each of the above departments. You may apply to one or multiple departments. As an intern you will work closely with our founders and directors and gain hands-on experience in a number of areas within the organization. During the Spring of 2021 we expect to launch out new website as well as the beta version of our app. Our Spring 2021 interns will play an incredibly active role in these launches.

Prefered Skills:

Social Media Marketing Internship

Strong sense of initiative, able to work well independently**
Strong communication skills
Strong understanding of relevant social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok)
Graphic design experience is a plus
Able to produce work within deadlines

Graphic Design Internship

Strong sense of initiative, able to work well independently**
Graphic design experience or portfolio is a plus, but not required
Able to create content for social media platforms as well as other promotional materials
Strong communication skills
Ability to adhere to deadlines

Community Organizing/Outreach Internship

Strong sense of initiative, able to work well independently**
Strong communication skills
Comfortable reaching out to individuals and organizations through email, social media, or by other means
Comfortable co-leading weekly community panel meetings to guage interest from potential users

Fundraising Internship

Strong sense of initiative, able to work well independently**
Strong writing skills necessary
Experience with grant writing is a plus, but not required
Ability to adhere to deadlines

*This is a remote internship, interns are expected to have access to a computer and internet.
**Because our operations are entirely remote, we offer flexible internship hours depending on your position and availability. Interns will be expected to attend a weekly team meetings and department meetings, but are otherwise allowed to determine their own hours within reason.
