Moulton Museum

Moulton Museum offers internships for academic credit. We provide arts management, education, curatorial, archive, events and marketing training. Students can enroll in one to three credits. We offer a stipend, upon request. Please ask your academic advisor/ Chair for more information.

Students who are focusing on Arts Management will help develop community programs with our network. This includes Chapman University, LCAD, Laguna Playhouse, Laguna Art Museum, and the historical societies. This involves some development of our membership and community partner programs.
Our Education committee includes developing curriculum that aligns with California Social Studies Standards. We work with the Orange County Docent League to align our tours with state and local standards. We will provide community and classroom guided tours. Help us create lesson plans and select primary sources for our local classrooms. You can help fabricate learning tools from 3D artifacts to coloring pages.
Our Curatorial department works closely with the archival team. They work as a committee to research thematic exhibitions and select appropriate artifacts for display from the collection. If you are a Researcher, you will help us find primary sources for our next exhibition. Help us with data entry by creating metadata and enhancing the searchability of our archival records. If you like digitizing records, we have flatbed scanners to process collections. We write the labels, fabricate design, and install the displays. Help us collaborate with the docents who educate our community in the gallery.
The Marketing team writes our news and helps prepare press releases for publication in local news and magazines. We seek experienced writers to contribute to our monthly newsletter. Help us with our social media campaigns and share our story with the community! The Events team prepares, promotes, and executes our functions. Be a museum ambassador at our programs. We use Eventbrite to track RSVPs and send custom messages.
Ask our students about their experiences at CSU Fullerton, UC Irvine, Chapman University, and Laguna College of Art and Design. We enjoy collaboration with our Orange County community!
