Art Steps Studio Manager

Do you love to make art and love kids? Are you a caring, outgoing leader? Art Steps is looking for a warm, upbeat, outgoing, artist with management experience and excellent communication skills who will enjoy learning to teach art to students ages 4 years through adults while managing a staff of 7-10 teachers at our Laguna Hills fine art studio location.

A Studio Manager is trained over time in our award-winning teaching methodology, step-by-step, in a classical, highly realistic art program, so your drawing and painting skills will improve over time as you learn to teach. We have been using and improving our teaching methods for over twenty years, and are excited to share our knowledge and experience with you. We will also train you in all office procedures and management skills. We are a growing company with a small team of managers committed to providing a supportive environment for you and your staff as you develop professionally.

We need someone who is highly organized, friendly, is a natural mentor to others, and is comfortable with taking responsibility for a team. Must be able to multi-task without direct supervision, have experience using programs such as Google Docs, Excel and Zoom. Experience working with children in some capacity and with managing a small to mid-sized retail or service-based establishment is ideal.

We are looking for a mature, professional individual who is willing to make a long-term commitment to manage our Laguna Hills studio, who lives a maximum of 30 minutes from our studio, and can look forward to working together with our team to make the Art Steps after-school art program a wonderful environment for teachers, families and kids.

The Studio Manager is responsible for the overall management of the studio and the daily operations of the studio. The Studio Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the studio, including scheduling, staffing, and customer service. The Studio Manager will also be responsible for the maintenance of the studio equipment and facilities.

Qualifications:

AA or Bachelor's degree in an art-related field.
Previous management experience in a retail, or other service-based industry required.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Must be able to prioritize and organize work flow.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to manage staff of 7-10 teachers, as well as studio aides
Communicate clearly and efficiently with office administration team
Create a positive and caring, environment for our students, teachers and staff
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $59,150.00 - $61,000.00 per year
