Job Description

Unless specified below as an in-office/in-person position, this is a remote opportunity. All remote positions require applicants to have a reliable internet connection. Ingenuity Studios is seeking Digital Matte Painters of intermediate and advanced skill levels to join our team. This position will work closely with the Compositing Supervisor and Showlead in delivering projects in accordance to client deadlines and department timelines.

All contracts begin with a 1 month trial period to formally assess skill level and gauge fit within our team and pipeline.

Responsibilities:
Painting/creating photorealistic digital images for landscape extension from scratch
Compiling a variety of stock photos from multiple environments into one seamless environment
Crafting environment driven shots that include full 3D landscapes, set extensions and sky domes.
Creating photorealistic environments exhibiting a strong foundation in traditional or digital art skills specifically in image composition, perspective, lighting, texturing and color
Demonstrate a desire to research and implement new techniques to continually improve team efficiency and your own quality of work

Requirements
Must be proficient with Photoshop and solid understanding of Nuke, Maya and Blender.
Experience with Unreal is a plus.
Must have excellent knowledge of 2.5D/3D projection techniques in Nuke
Must have a strong artistic background in painting and eye for details.
Must have a strong understanding of perspective and camera lenses
Experience working with live action footage specially episodic environment
Candidates should have at least 2 years relevant experience working within a VFX pipeline
Must be passionate about film/tv post-production with a great attitude and excitement for continued learning.
Able to work in a fast paced and remote environment

California Pay Range. $30—$45 USD
