Sunset Serenades Artwork

Eligibility: Open to Orange County, CA residents, 18 years of age or older.
Information: The City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission is seeking 2D artwork to use in promotional materials for its Sunset Serenades music series. Sunset Serenades concerts are held at the Heisler Park Amphitheater each May and September featuring a variety of genres including original singer/songwriters, opera, classical, and jazz/blues, and a focus on world cultural music each June.
2024 Banner Competition
Deadline: March 4, 2024
Honorarium: $4,000
Eligibility: Open to Orange County, CA residents, 18 years of age or older.
Information: The Arts Commission will select from submitted designs to add to the City’s collection of 16’x4’ summer banners. Completed banners are displayed on lampposts throughout the city during June, July, and August and celebrate the summer season.
2024 Art That’s Small at City Hall
Deadline: March 9, 2024
Honorarium: 1st- $600 | 2nd- $300 | 3rd- $150 | CH Choice- $100
Eligibility: Open to Orange County, CA residents, 18 years of age or older.
Information: Annual exhibition of artwork 12” x 12” or smaller. A fee of $15 will be charged with one entry allowed per artist. All works deemed acceptable will be exhibited at Laguna Beach City Hall, located at 505 Forest Avenue, from March 9 through April 19, 2024.
Stage on Forest – Marine Sanctuary
Deadline: April 1, 2024
Honorarium: $5,000
Eligibility: Open to Orange County, CA residents, 18 years of age or older.
Information: The Arts Commission is requesting proposals for a temporary stage-floor mural or sculpture installation at the Promenade on Forest Avenue in downtown Laguna Beach.
