Animated Bible Shorts – producer of the award winning short film (m)adam: Adam’s Rib Reframed – is seeking collaboration with a feminist animator for its next exciting project.
Project Description: A short video that explains to those involved in the Roman Catholic Church’s worldwide “Synod” how the Greek word diakoneo in the Gospels shows a path forward concerning a topic being considered by the institutional church: Ordaining women as Deacons.
Timeframe: Production to begin mid-March, with completion date set for May/June.
Scope: Animator will be responsible for all aspects of production, working closely (over Zoom and email) with educator Lizzie Berne DeGear. Because the purpose of the film is to educate the synod participants before they reconvene in fall 2024, timing is of the essence.
