Job TitleWEBSITE UPDATE/SITE HOST NAVIGATOR

DanSurf

Laguna Beach, CA

Job Description

Hello LCAD Creatives,

I’m Dan. I have a surf school in town called DanSurf. It is a one-man operation (me). I need help with two things.

First is an update to my website. I’m not looking for a new design, logo or look. I’m very happy with that. More importantly, my clients tell me they like it and were attracted to the small, local business vibe. The problem is, it was created using Dreamweaver back in 2011 when I started the business. I’m told it is not mobile-device friendly. Some say a revise/update in one of the programs used now can also help it to come up higher on the search engines as well. So, what I need is a resto-mod of sorts, like when they take a classic muscle car and put in a modern engine, suspension, and handling components underneath.

The other thing I need help with is navigating my website host. I’m using Namecheap which comes up among the top host services out there, but it’s been a headache for me, so I would need help with things like uploading the updated website and with renewing my SSL each year. Myself, my Mac guy and my artist buddy that built the original seem to have difficulty with the host navigation functions, but we’re all old guys, so I think that’s probably the problem. Hopefully, someone who lives it that world, doing websites and interacting with various hosts will be better at it than we are. If I need to change hosts I’m open to that, too.

So, if you’re interested let me know what it will cost. Or, if you and some of your friends are interested in learning to surf (since you are in beautiful Laguna) and open for some barter, I could do a two-hour, four-student surf lesson (check DanSurf on Yelp to see the quality of the lesson). That includes all your equipment. Thanks.

Aloha,
Dan
