Do you appreciate stuffed animals or plushies?

Are you interested in art and animation?

Then are you ready to build your skills with us? Friends Collection is looking to help you, an up-and-coming animation pro, to build your portfolio and resume for your future endeavors. We will guide you in areas such as color theory, production design and marketing, in the world of stuffed animal design and development.

You will be given the opportunity to join us in creating published content, as a part of our sensory-friendly stuffed animal company. Not only will you be developing content for your future applications, but you will be pushing the cause of developing stuffed animals for those of us with Neurodiverse conditions such as Autism, ADHD, or others!

Friends Collection LLC are the proud creators of the Borbs (bird-orbs), high quality, sensory-friendly stuffed animals designed by and for neurodivergent people. As we gear up for an exciting summer, we're on the lookout for talented individuals to join us in developing animations and art for our audience!

Position: Animation Summer Intern
Location: Remote
Duration: Summer 2024 (June - August)

Responsibilities:
Use digital drawing software such as Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or Adobe Photoshop to draw custom props and custom poses.
Create captivating, simple animations, using Adobe After Effects or Clip Studio Paint, by animating with our provided After Effects puppets.
Adhere to provided style guides, model sheets, and color palettes to ensure consistency across projects.
Ensure a consistent file naming structure, and consistently use OneDrive.

Optional Responsibilities:
Develop new After Effects Puppets using Adobe Illustrator or Procreate.
Create simple storyboards for use in real published animation!
Draw Friends Collection-related illustrations or comics for our social media.
Use Adobe Illustrator to vectorize model mockups.
Provide feedback on animations, social media, and plushie designs.

Requirements:
A Portfolio showcasing solid drawing, animation skills, and creativity.
Proficiency and access to drawing software such as Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, or Photoshop.
Experience animating in After Effects, Procreate, Capcut, or Clip Studio Paint.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience creating storyboards, especially with trending audio.
Cute, bouncy, and cartoony art style with clean linework.
Familiarity with creating animations for social media production.
Familiarity with meme culture, Instagram/Tiktok trends.
Current knowledge of neurodivergent trends, acceptable language, and concepts.
