Part-time: Up to 19 hours per week
The City of Irvine seeks a Community Services Leader III, an enthusiastic individual to assist in the planning, organizing and instruction of youth classes, Arts Camp and related programs at the Irvine Fine Arts Center.

Hours: Up to 19 hours per week; Daytime and evening hours may vary. Shifts are during IFAC hours of operation Monday- Saturday. Saturdays required. Increased and flexible availability required during summer/seasonal camps.
*Minimum start rate of $18.13 per hour.

Your Impact:
• Develop, coordinate, and provide art instruction for youth and teen classes, camps, workshops, and events.
• Foster creative problem solving and enthusiasm for the art making process in children.
• Assist in overseeing program responsibilities and training for seasonal and part-time staff and volunteers to achieve program goals.
• Assist with supply inventory and purchases.
• Work cooperatively with contract instructors, community groups, City staff, and volunteers.
• Assist with special events not scheduled during regular center hours.
• Provide information to customers regarding City and Fine Arts Center policies and procedures, programs, events, classes, and exhibitions.

• Experience in Studio Arts (ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, mixed-media) or arts-based recreation program.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Two years of college level work in arts, education or child development preferred and one year of experience working with preschool and school-aged children in arts education, recreation, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• 1st Aid and CPR Certificate will be required within first three months of employment.
• Current CA Driver's License required
• Moderate computer skills needed for email, reports, and database input.
• Ability to push, pull, drag, lift, or carry equipment/supplies (weighing up to 50 lbs.) and ability to lean, stoop, twist, and bend in the performance
